Consul General attended the event “Premium Beverages: Unlocking Opportunities from the UK–India FTA”, organised by The Scotsman, Dentons and DP World in Edinburgh. The event brought together representatives from Chambers of Commerce, Business Councils, and stakeholders from Scotland’s premium beverages sector. In his remarks Consul General highlighted the transformative potential of the India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement in enhancing trade and investment between India and Scotland, particularly for the premium beverages sector. He noted that improved market access, reduced tariffs, stronger business-to-business engagement and business friendly reforms can create significant new opportunities for Scottish brands in India’s dynamic and fast-growing consumer market as well as for Indian companies in Scotland.
