Presently Consulate Services are being provided by the High Commission and the Consulates irrespective of there Consular jurisdictions.
However an online application filled up by selecting a particular mission/post cannot be processed by other missions/post. Therefore application filled up by selecting Edinburgh only can be accepted by the Consulate or VFS, Edinburgh.

Collection of applications and delivery of processed documents in respect of below-mentioned consular services have been outsourced to M/s VFS Global. As such, with effect from 2nd March 2015, applicants for below-mentioned consular services are required to submit their applications only at the designated Indian Visa and Consular Services Centres (IVCSC) operated by M/s VFS Global.

- Attestation of Documents (Birth/Death/Marriage/Educational Certificates etc.)
- Attestation of Commercial Documents/ Company Documents
- Attestation of Documents for Making Application for Allotment of Director Identification Number (DIN)
- Attestation of Documents for Making Application for Allotment of Permanent Account Number (PAN) in respect of UK Based Companies or Individuals
- Police Clearance Certificate (PCC)
- NRI Certificate / NRI Parity Certificate
- Attestation of Copy of Indian Passport or any Other Miscellaneous Certificate (s) based on Indian Passport
- Attestation of Sponsorship Letter for Visit of a Person from India to the UK
- Birth Registration of Children eligible for Indian nationality
