“Ceilidh Meets Garba”—a spirited fusion of Scottish and Gujarati traditions presented as part of the Glasgow 2026 Festival.

A vibrant celebration of the enduring cultural bonds between India and Scotland!
H.E. Mr P. Kumaran, High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom, attended “Ceilidh Meets Garba”—a spirited fusion of Scottish and Gujarati traditions presented as part of the Glasgow 2026 Festival.
Special thanks to Ms Simita Kumar @SimitaSKumar, Minister for Equalities and International Development; Ms Alison Thewliss @alisonthewliss, Minister for Community Care; and Bailie Annette Christie, Glasgow City Council @GlasgowCC, Convener for Culture, Sport and International Relations, for their presence and warm support.
We were also delighted to be joined by Finnie, the Glasgow 2026 mascot, whose cheerful presence added extra energy to the celebrations.
Organised by Momentum Films, the evening beautifully celebrated friendship, community and the shared journey from Glasgow 2026 to Amdavad 2030.
