Consul General attended a memorable evening by India–Alba band at the Citizens Theatre in Glasgow-a unique exploration of Indian classical & Scottish traditional music, celebrating the deep cultural & historical links between India and Scotland. Inspired by The Golden Road: How Ancient India Transformed the World, the programme beautifully blended music and ideas, with the renowned Scottish historian William Dalrymple talking about India-Scotland history alongside the performance. India Alba, regarded as the first India–Scottish fusion band, powerfully demonstrated the shared musical ground between ragas and reels—from the Himalayas to the Highlands. This special collaboration was made possible through Celtic Connections & the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
