The Scottish Parliament today, H.C. Vikram Doraiswami briefed the Cross-Party Group on India on the landmark India–UK Comprehensive Economic & Trade Agree
ment (CETA). The agreement will:
Expand trade & investment.
Boost jobs & growth across India & UK/Scotland. Deepen our enduring partnership.
The agreement will be beneficial to Scotland and India as it will:
Add £190m to Scotland’s economy.
Reduce duties for Scotch whisky, salmon & premium food exports and for Indian sectors like textiles, leather, pharma & machinery.
Stronger links in services, tech & education.
