Advisory to Indians travelling to Scotland

Due to certain recent incidents, where Indians travelling to Scotland lost their passports in the taxis they travelled in, which were hired on the spot from the roadside, all Indian nationals travelling to Scotland are advised to hire taxi / transport only through hotels where they are staying / or on phone through taxi companies.  They are also advised not repeat NOT to hire any roadside taxi / transport to avoid incidents of loss of documents / bags, etc.

In cases they have to hire in urgency the roadside taxi(s), they should be careful not to leave their belongings in the vehicle to avoid consequent inconvenience to them.
