Updated FAQs on withdrawal of old Bank Notes of ₹ 500 and ₹ 1000

All are requested to consult the latest FAQs from Reserve Bank of India, regarding options available to NRIs/Indian citizens abroad  between November 9-December 30, 2016. 

Please note that the facility for exchange of old notes by NRIs is not available outside India. This facility is only available from January 2, 2017 to June 30, 2017 at five Reserve Bank offices at Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Nagpur. The limit of exchange for NRIs will be as per the relevant FEMA Regulations. 

Also, this facility is not available to OCIs/PIOs. 

All are advised to avail of this extended facility for exchange of old 500/1000 Rupee notes.
